Unwind to Annawagin Cove ~ San Antonio, Zambales

After 12 hours of hiking from Subic, Zambales traverse to Anawagin Cove we set our camp meters beside the shore line, the team arrived at the cove minutes before midnight.

On the following day I saw fully the beauty of the Cove. Our guide said that the white fine sand was a mixture of volcanic ashes from the last eruption of Mt. Pinatubo and the pine trees lined around grows unknowingly years after the eruption. So some of the tribe in Zambales create a living for a reason to make the area a spot for campings and beach outings.

A crescent-shape figure and the cove are lined with pine trees that give it a different impression compared to the other tropical beach in the country which is commonly lined with coconut and talisay trees. One may also try trekking up hill until into this spot to snap a picture profile of the cove.

Anawangin Cove, is a popular destination for beach outing, camp and hiking to the minor scale slopes of Zambales ranges ( Mt.Pundaguit). A perfect location if you want gets close to the Mother Nature, a quiet place to unwind and relax. The Cove is located in San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines. One can take public buses from Manila to Iba, Zambales which will consume approximately 5 hours

However the cove is complimented by the surrounding mountain giving it a perfect view especially when the sun sets down the combination of colors reflects to the mountain slopes.

ANNAWANGIN COVE your next weekend destination.

Extreme white water rafting ~ Davao Wild Water Adventure

White Water Rafting is one of the popular eco-tourism and outdoor extreme adventures in Davao City. The grand Davao River offers an ideal spot to experience this new and extreme sport in the country. The 4-hour wild water rafting starts from Barrio Tamugan in Calinan district, and then ends at Lacson.

The water course features almost 30 rapids of varying degrees of difficulty in the 15-kilometer-run of rough water of Davao River. The rafting experience is divided into varied stages to ensure everyone gets the maximum fun, thrill, and excited.

The several mighty rapids of twists, bends, washing machine-like motions and turns along the river makes it more challenging and exciting to wild water rafting enthusiasts and for the extreme sports seekers.
Aside from the thrill of the rapids, one can also observe on the lush greenery of trees that undergrew along the river banks. There are many sightings along the river trail, wildlife, hanging bridges, falls, monkeys, hawks and the famous “Balinsasayaw” bird.

However, after 2 hours in the river, we paused for a lunch break for 30 minutes along the flat surface river bank. The location is cool andnit emits a feeling of having a picnic by the beach because the area is sandy.

The next 2 hours of rafting is experiencing more extreme rapids than that of  the start, thus tine to shout out your fear, and keep your paddles up.
Anyone who plans to explore Davao should never miss this white wild water rafting adventure that offers fun, excitement, adrenaline rush. A great value for money even it’s expensive
After all, the extreme adventure in Grand Davao River is really fun.

Sipaway Island Escape ~ Whispering Palm Resort

WHISPERING PALM RESORT| a place of comfort and relaxation. It is located in the south costal line of Sipaway Island, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. A good choice for couples who are seekers of peace and romance as from thence one can experience the air of being in a  paradise.

On our second day of stay in San Carlo, City we decided to visit Sipaway Island, a liitle island of San Carlos. From the mainland, we got into a pump boat in the city wharf and crossed the sea going to the island; it took only 15 minutes to cross.

The island covers many common and private beaches, but we directly visited the Whispering palms. Surprisingly, when we arrived at the site, the place was totally serene,no tourists and guests were there. That was a Thursday. The beach water is calm, the surroundings sounds good but the entrance sounds bad( oh! so expensive). But then we still grabbed the opportunity to experience the wonders the island holds.

The sand in this resort is minimal, one may not enjoy swimming during low tide, as during such, the coast is shallow. One may explore the coast and discover the marine life. Sea urchins, some star fish, sea weeds, corals and different kinds of fish will surely catch you attention. One may also try scuba diving and snorkeling.

We stayed until 1pm then returned back to the main land. During that entire morning, we were the only guests occupying the entire resort. I should think, our entrance package fee is sulit.

Anyway, whispering palm resort is not a place for adventure seekers and to budget travelers, I tell you..it is a not-so-budget-friendly place. It is a place beyond the day that makes one alive.

A place for peace seeekers!
