Endless sound of gushing waters of Hagimit ~ Hagimit Falls

HAGIMIT FALLS| a ladder of falls bordering the river with lush green meadows, and beautiful landscaped gardens will delight your eyes. With a short waterfall, natural swimming pools, and rock formations, Hagimit is a perfect escape for campers and picnickers.

Behind the beauty of Hagimit Falls hides a painful history. The main and original cultivators of the land were struck by lightning as well as the core successor died while gathering freshwater prawns in the underwater caves of the falls.

However, the remaining heirs nurtured and landscaped the place visualizing that the beauty of Hagimit Falls will be preserved beyond the boundaries of the island making it a place of peace, a place of comfort, and a place of healthy living. Above all they believe that nature is God’s perfect gift to mankind.

One could visit Hagimit Falls, located in Brgy. Kawag, Penaplata in the Island Garden City of Samal, in the province of Davao, Del Norte. If you wish to get there from Davao City,it is suggested you take a ferry boat to Samal Island--the port is at kilometer 11, Sasa. From the port of Samal,hail a habal-habal/ motorcycle and ask the driver to bring you to Hagimit Falls (75php); it takes 30 minutes or less to travel. The entrance fee is reasonable. One could also try the dirt ATV ride --an extreme trail ride.
